Don is talking about picking a drill bit. Buying a drill bit is a confusing, expensive, and an overwhelming experience. Certain bits only work on certain materials. Wood bits won't drill steel, steel bits won't drill wood, and so on. You have to use quality bits in your drill. If not, your drill is as cheap as the bargain bit you bought. One great product is cobalt drill bits. These bits are more expensive than others, but are well worth it. They come in a set which includes wood, plastic, and metal. They are high quality and you don't have to buy many different sizes and types, so they save you money. So start drilling.
