Every house has a drawer somewhere in it that gets stuck, requiring you to struggle, yank, or shove to get it open and closed. In this quick clip, professional do-it-yourselfer Ron Hazelton shows you the best ways to overcome sticky drawer syndrome.
Ron is teaching us three ways to help solve the problem of sticking drawers. Your drawers are usually sticking for three reasons: because of paint on the side, wood rubbing against the side of the drawer and cabinet, or the wood drawer glide rubbing against the cabinet glide. If paint is your problem, just strip the paint off with a heat gun. If your sides are sticking use a 60 grit sand paper wrapped around a block of wood. Lastly, to fix a sticking glide, just rub parifin, a candle, or a bar of soap on the drawer glide. These steps will have your drawer opening like new again.
