Don talks you through reducing moisture damage in vulnerable areas in your house.

Don is giving us some tips on moisture control in your bathroom. This is very important because of mold and water damage. Some ways for your walls to not to get damaged is to put a cement board product behind your tiles or tub so the water will not get in. Another product you should always use is a gypsum board. It inhibits mold and mildew in all of the rest of your walls. For crown molding in your bathroom you should try a urethane molding. It looks exactly the same as wood but will not rot. They even make flexible pieces if you have a curved ceiling. Last, but not least, you should always run your exhaust fan for at least twenty minutes after the shower to help get the moisture out of the air. They make very quiet fans today so you won't even know it's on.
