Welcome to Home Owner's Library

Often neglected in today's construction projects, trees make a yard more attractive and save money by providing shade. Don tells you how to choose and plant a tree that's right for your home.

Don is telling us about planting trees. Trees are very important for homes. Not only do they look great they provide us with oxygen, and shade which can lower our energy costs. Most new construction today does not involve saving or planting trees. Your first step is to decide what kind of tree you would like. You can get help at your local university. After you buy your tree, dig a hole and make sure the hole is twice as big as the roots. Break up the soil very well. Water and cover with mulch. You should have a tree you will enjoy for many, many years.
